Super congrats UPSsteve! Wow! That's gotta be some kind of record! Less than 3 months?
Mailed all Forms to DPS: 06/05/09
Processing: 07/07/09
Approved: 08/26/09

What county are you in?? I didn't see it in your signature line.

So, I called DPS again. They said mine was sent to the printer in july, but came back "defective", they have sent the license again and I am 2-4 weeks out per felicia's instructions during the call.

Given that, what they have told me (my license is being printed) since July 10, almost makes sense.

I don't know how they become defective or what that means, but this is just silly, a waste of time and taxpayer coin.

Anyway, I am going to just visit with my state rep on this today, his office is near my office. This is the first time I will have brought this up with him.

I lived in Williamson county when I submitted the forms but have since move to The People's Democratic Republic of Travis County. I even had to submit a change of address in process. I figured the address change would gum up the works a bit, but I guess not. I hope they mail it to the correct address.

i bet if they did , some folks would drive 100s of miles to pick it up ..myself included .

Mmmm....hmmmm. But they'd prolly close it because they couldn't use the mail delayed as an excuse anymore.

Nah, they'd probably still use the postal service to send it to the will call window.

Mine went to print 8/19/09 hope it don't take long.

I was told last Friday that mine was out to the printers. Online status still says "Processing Application"

Fantastic news! Congrats, it won't be long now. BTW, I don't think any messages are given between '[processing', and 'approved and active'.
