still no status change

I am trying my hardest not to check it every hour but I can't help myself.

I still check 2 or 3 times a day but haven't seen anything happen during the day. Seems like they do their site updates overnight a couple of times a week.

It seems sporadic. I have seen updates during the day occasionally however, I checked last night with no change but this morning background check shows complete and license shows as manufacturing! A few more days and I should have plastic

What takes so long!! My status changed to Mailed Thursday Nothing yet!! Maybe Monday

Finally! After weeks of no changes, Saturday morning brings this:

Background Check Complete, License Manufacturing.

On the home stretch now.



05/14/2010 - CHL class taken
06/01/2010 - Online application sent to DPS.
06/07/2010 - Additional materials mailed to DPS (photo holder, fingerprint affidavit, etc.)
06/22/2010 - Additional materials received (website updated), background check: under review.
07/17/2010 - Background check complete. Concealed handgun license: manufacturing.

46 days and counting...DPS says up to 60, so a possible 14 more.

Well we're not the only ones waiting. My cousin took the class with me and submitted a couple weeks after I did, he had to pull up his LES, and he's still pending BGC.
