Hi everyone. My name is Jim and I joined because I googled "Texas CHL" and this site was at the top.

I started carrying in my car last year and now I want to carry outside my car too. There are no policies at work against it so it's sounds like it's worth doing even though it's like $300 for 4 years. At least renewals will be cheaper. I signed up for the class next month and I'm looking forward to being able to carry all the time after I get my CHL.

P.S. I got this nickname at work after The Office episode but I don't work for a paper company and my gf isn't named Pam.

Hi Jim & welcome to the forum! :tiphat: Glad to have you with us. There's a wealth of information here in the forum, and a great bunch of guys and gals to help answer your questions, and gab with in general.

What county are you in? And what costs $300? That kinda confused me.

In any event, come on in, kick off your shoes and stay awhile.
