Well I woke up this morning to the wife holding a lap top in front of me with my status page showing what we all want too see. Yes I woke up this morning to see Application Completed - license issued or certificate active . Maby my phone calls Thursday did the trick. Now its getting the wifes complete now. She called Terry Wednesday to get her status and still has not gotten a return phone call from her. Guess we will have to see if she can get through to Heather or Simone to get her plastic on its way.

We know who will be camped next to the mail box this next week...

Mine says Application Complete too! I posted earlier this week about the conversation I had with Simone, who knew the '30 days' would be more like 3???

Congratulation, looks like we are almost to the wally walk part.

I called DPS today and talked to a guy who tells me that all background checks have returned and everything looks good BUT to check back in TWO WEEKS to see if there are any changes. I asked what else was neeed and he said nothing. As far as he could see everything was in order. I am hoping that I just got the canned response and will see a change in status soon.

I have been hearing the same thing last Monday everything was back still nothing. I am on day 112

Sent DPS an email (?PIN?) today and they replied back today, here is their reply:
Your application has not been entered into the system. It is likely going though the processes required before entry. When a completed application is entered you will be sent a confirmation letter with your PIN.

64 days and I'm not even in their darn system, this is major bull , 60 days for completion my azz !!!!!

Update today July 28, rec'd PIN in mail today (day 90), logged on and "Processing Application"! So I wonder how long now?

Mine has been processing since the end of April you could be in for a long haul. get ready to a hole lot. Really hope yours dont last as long as mine. I had planned a trip to Florida thinking I would have mine know I will have to go without it.

That is what they said in the last email I got from them.

I am just about at the point where I don't care any more. This has been the worst example of a bureaucratic nightmare that I have seen from any level of government in decades. Federal Income Tax returns are processed way faster than this and there have to be hundreds of of thousands times more files to process there than for CHLs in Texas. I took the class when my daughter had a six weeks to go in her freshman year of high school. Looks like she'll be a sophmore before I get anything back from them.

This whole thing has just reinforced my belief that bureaucracy is the refuge of a mediocre mind.
