Congrats!!!! Interesting they used your passport photos...I have also heard they changed completely to DL photos.. weird...

Well I have some good news for you grifter.

I called the DPS again today (I now have a personal relationship with the male CS rep) and they told me that my license was issued, put into an envelope, and sent to the mailroom yesterday. Yes, they are printed and sent out from Austin. So... there's a good chance that our IDs are already at the USPS sort facility in Austin. You may actually get your plastic tomorrow (maybe today??).

So post mark either today or yesterday.. cool.. Sounds like they have really stream lined the process.. I have a few friends that it took much longer to get plastic in hand.. one of which was just 6 months ago. Good for the new people to know.. it doesn't take as long as it use too.

I just sent an email checking status because I didn't want to wait 45 mins hold time and this was then email response:
