3-11-13 -Mailed all paperwork to DPS
4-27-13 DPS finally updated
5-5-13 Background Complete
5-7-13 Manufacturing
5-8-13 Mailed

grrr I mailed mine 3/1/13 and it's still at background review!!

Hi everyone, also new to the forum. I don't have all the date specifics handy, but I did the online app in March, did fingerprints and everything before the class. Took the class the last weekend in March, mailed everything Monday April 1. I am in the Austin Area so mail time should have been one day, no more than two. Today (May 8th) my status was updated to materials received, background check under review. I suppose this is pretty fast relative to others here. Now the background check variability...seems like anywhere from 5-50 days....but hopefully shouldn't be long now.

We must be in the same pile on the lazy guys desk. I mailed mine on march 2 and I've been in BR review for 24 days

Mailed March 16, updated to Backgroun Review on May 7.

Called yesterday, talked to a guy who was very nice. Said I should give it another week or two, said email gets forward to the processing department. I told him I was kinda concerned maybe they didn't all go through online, said I could fax if nothing by end of next week. So yeah going to fax anyway, so much for online cutting a few weeks

3/28/2013 Mailed Docs to DPS via USPS, Tracking info no signature required. Docs Delivered 3/30
5/8/2013 Status changed to Background Under Review. Didn't check until after 2pm

I thought it would be easy not to check everyday waiting for the status to change. I was wrong.

SigP250, Hopefully we were in the same batch and you see a change today or tomorrow morning. And everyone else's too.

Took course on 3/02. Emailed application (all completed documents) 3/03. Licensed mailed today May 8. A little over 60 days.

DPS updates their system at 6am only once per day. No reason to check more than once per day.

Mayby tomorrow for me. I showed mailed on the May 3rd as well.

There is hope. I found this forum after mailing in my packet and got worried after reading that so many here sent theirs with signature and delivery confirmation. I was in such a hurry to get mine in that I didn't do any of that. I just sent it in regular mail. They still got it and didn't take any longer than everybody else. I figure they lose documents from packets they sign for, so why worry. Hang in there you are in the cue.

Background check started about 5/7
Background check complete about 5/22
License shipped 5/24

about 2-1/2 months start to finish.

Checked this morning and mine went to manufacturing today as well!

56 days so far.

The wait is almost over!

My status also changed to Manufacturing Pending this morning ... Almost there.
