I will be there this Saturday. I am bringing a walkie talkie size scanner, but I misplaced the book with the frequencies in it, plus I'm baffled by all the buttons on this puppy.
Flightmare, or someone: could you bring any hardcopy of local police frequencies, and possibly get me set up to listen to police calls?
I'd like to get DPS, Plano PD, Frisco PD, Lewisville PD, Collin County & Denton County Sheriffs Depts.
As a plan B, if anyone knows any police scanner apps I could put on my Android phone, that would be good too.

Note that some local stations are starting to upgrade their radio equipment with AES encryption using rotating keys. This is essentially going to kill off civilian access to their radio chatter.

I ventured out of the house for the first time in a week today. I've been fever free for two days now, but my head wasn't clear enough until late yesterday and energy levels weren't up for it until today. I might be there this month, but ...
I also might be taking my daughter and her boyfriend out to my club to shoot. It's not supposed to be the warmest, but should be clear weather. He has reportedly recently bought an AK and she said he hasn't fired it yet. So, I offered. No response yet.

SIA I don't know what frequencies are available but there are several smart phone apps that allow you to monitor police, fire, ambulance etc. I don't know if you can scan multiple channels, but I monitor my local SO channel, during bad weather, or if I see several emergency vehicles travelling by my house.

SWMBO will still be at work and I'm thinking it's going to be a little too cold for a range trip. So, I'm thinking I'll be there in the morning. H-dub has only a 50/50 probability of getting out with me that early. We'll see.

Hey, just realized there is a recurring breakfast in Frisco. I live in Little Elm would love to try to make the next one.
