me - checked with DPS today and learned that my background finally came back and that the file was with a technician - an extra step required to check something - thinking it through, perhaps that i've been back and forth from the US/UK about 12 times in the last year using my passport, might have put up a red flag - otherwise i'm clean...

Something that is potentially disqualifying turned up in your background check with the FBI I would assume, because you also get delayed with a gun purchase using NICS. The tech must now decide if you still meet the eligibility requirements, if so he or she will clear the file and issue the license. Hopefully the wait won't be too long.

Your check cleared 3 days before me...and I got my PIN letter the day after you, so hopefully my status will change in the next couple of days! I got the email response back today saying mine is being printed, so hopefully that doesn't take too long!

Hey Mojo Texas! I checked my online status and it say's license active, application complete. Check yours... It should be complete as well..

I just checked and mine still says "Processing Application." I'm a day or two behind you, so mine maybe hasn't come back from being printed yet. I've also heard that some people actually receive their plastic with the website still saying, "Processing Application," so I'm not too worried...I've got the email from DPS saying it's being printed so I figure I should get it sometime next week.

That being said, I'm still going to be checking the DPS website several times a day, just in case.

Application Complete as of today. Only 23 days from them receiving the packet.
