Just hang in there. We're dealing with civil servants. Any extra work and they go home with the flu

I emailed them today and I just got the generic email back about a technician having to look over my background check for something that may disqualify me. What ever that is suppose to mean. I just want a simple answer like "it is going to be ten days" or something like that. Oh well I have waited this long.
A BIG CONGRATS TO EVERYONE THAT HAS PLASTIC IN HAND.

Well after calling about 2 weeks ago and being told that they are working on the info from NJ and emailing on Fri. and also being told that a tech was looking over my background for anything that might disqualify me today I received a letter stating that I need to send them certified copies of the judgement and sentence from the courts. Wow really a simple phone call to New Jersey and you guys can find all these out. Now I need to call NJ and get the run around like I did before I sent in my application. That is why I wrote down everything on the application that I remembered from that. This is extremely frustrating. On monday it will be 80 days since they received my app, and not once was I told on my many calls about this not once. I cannot begin to tell you guys how frustrating this is. There is got to be a better way to do all this. From others on here that are receiving their plastics in 30 days or so it seems like they are not that backed up down there to simply pick up the phone and call. Now I have to spend half a day talking to people in NJ who don't seem to know anything but "let me transfer you to so and so dept". I disclosed everything on the app they have all my info and I find it hard to believe that they don't already have this info. AGHHHHHH!!!!!! I am going to see this through. I am going to get my plastic. I know that I have nothing in my background that will disqualify me.

Sorry all just had to vent and share another chapter in my never ending quest for my CHL.
oh by the way the website still shows BC under review nothing at all about letter sent like it did when my photos were "missing"

Man thats wrong. I agree, a simple phone call could have solved it.

I feel for you. It's hard to see the reasoning there.
Not to worry my friend, things will work out. In the end you will have your plastic, and this will all be water under the bridge. I know you have been waiting forever for this. For the longest time you and I were the last 2 in the waiting room together. I finally got mine after many emails and several phone calls. You'll get yours, and all will be right with the world again. Keep the faith, it won't be much longer

Thanks for the kind words NOS. I WILL eventually receive it it's just frustrating how long this whole thing is taking.

As for me I am just waiting for NJ to send me the papers that I need so that I can foward them to Austin.

Exactly 2 months from mailing the packet off,,,, my license finally arrived today.
For those of you who have posted and answered questions, you have been a wealth of information and support, thank you.

BGC COMPLETE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After the long wait and dealing with NJ finally my Background Check went green this morning. Now just waiting for for manufacturing and mailing of the plastic. I'm in the homestretch now and I want to thank everyone that helped me out and gave me advice.
