Anybody else notice the "devil" red on black theme HLN is using in its banner? Nancy Grace said "this verdict is a clear as...black on white."

He better get his dang gun back ASAP!
He will never see that gun again.
If he put it on gun broker I would take out a loan to get that gun!! It is going to have a premium value at this point. We know for sure that it works properly.

Has he done anything to have it permanently revoked?
Not knowing Florida law that well, I've no idea. If it works like Texas law, then no. But it would almost certainly have been suspended during this ordeal up until now.

I wonder if Zimmerman will qualify for compensation from the crime victims fund.

REALLY?? Since when do we care about a thug that gets himself killed when he is attacking an innocent person?? I seem to remember hundreds of posts on this forum where everyone chimed in with "good, one less criminal" or some other expression of satisfaction that the good guy won.

What? This time it's different?? Baloney! Why is it any different than the hundreds of other thugs who meet their demise by way of a good citizen defending himself?

:tiphat:
:iagree:

Seems to me that justice has been served twice!
Justice may or may not have been served twice but Zimmerman should now hire a law firm whose job it is to hire other attorneys. He should have two or three hundred attorneys filing lawsuits against every news media, organization and individual that published or said anything prejudging him guilty.

When the main stream media, the new black panthers, the brady bunch, Al Sharpton and many others are forced to cough up a lot of money then justice will truly be done.

He may have to go through an appeals process to get it back. It may well be that he wants nothing more to do with CCW or guns after this anymore. Either way, he has not been convicted of a felony, so he can always get another gun if he wants. If I were him, I'd want my CWP and my gun back just because I wouldn't feel safe any longer without them. But that's me. Zimmerman may have had his fill.

Pulease. The assault charge was 8 years prior, when he was 21. He "assualted" an undercover agent that he didn't know was an agent, who was manhandling his friend. The charges were eventually dismissed. LEO doesn't allow dismissal of charges in a real assault.

The domestic issue was purely a civil matter, and both parties had restraining orders issued.
Thank you for confirming Zimmerman's past aggressive behavior. And thanks again for inferring young men/boys do stupid stuff and can grow up to be productive citizens. Except in this case, one young person will not have a chance to chart a productive path. Realizing this is a public forum and all are entitled to express their opinion; I am angst by folks on both sides with their vilification and obvious biases of Martin and Zimmerman. FWIW, I challenge the pro-Martinites on liberal leaning boards that spew extreme bias as well.
I inferred nothing of the sort. You may believe I implied it, but you drew the inference (if you're confused on this, I invite you to look up "imply" and "infer" in the dictionary).
Yes, it's a bad thing when a young person dies because of their poor choices; however, Martin's poor choice was not Zimmerman's fault. He should not be found guilty of some ginned up "crime" because something sad happened.

I can just imagine his pockets have been drained. However, he did have a lot of contributions to his defense fund. One of his future legal worries now will be civil suits.

In my situation, I never had to go to trial as it was no billed as a self defense situation but I still did not get my weapon back. Right or wrong, my attorney recommended I not rock the boat. He was concerned that a different DA might look at the case if I attracted attention and decide to take it before the grand jury. So I put my tail between my legs and walked away from that 600 dollar gun.

All kidding aside, I bet he is so relieved he didn't just get a prison sentence, he doesn't give a durn about that gun.

I would go through the process to get everything back... publicly... just to spite the prosecution and other idiots.

Zimmerman's brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., is doing a great job right now on CNN being interviewed by the one-who-needs-to-go-back-to-England.

Articulate, calm, and knowledgeable.

:iagree:. I would feel the same. I may not would want that particular gun back. I would definitely go get another one. I believe he is going to need it.

I will say that I love your tenacity but I cannot claim I would do the same. I just don't know. It's a little different because he was tried and found innocent. They cant really do much else to him. I suppose he could be facing civil trials. I was no billed, which meant I could have been facing charges at the whim of a DA or prosecutor.

Heck... Maybe his movie deal will make him rich.

Mark O'Mara was asked about the possibility of future civil cases. He said that he will certainly defend Zimmerman if anyone tries to file, and that under Florida law (legitimate use of deadly force, I guess) because of the acquittal, Zimmerman will absolutely prevail.

Al Sharpton, who was saying there should be blood in the streets a few months ago, is now race baiting the race baiting. That guy is a real sack of garbage.
