Last session, the House refused to concur with HB508 because it created a special class of people (elected officials) who could carry their handguns everywhere in the State. The Bill went to conference and came out with even more people added to the group of elites. The House voted it down overwhelmingly. If I recall correctly, there were only 13 votes in favor.
Fast forward one session and House Members don't have a problem treating elected officials as a privileged class. This is disgusting.
Chas.
Now this travesty of justice has been extended to the district offices of elected officials. We need to contact our Senators and tell them not to concur.

Looking at the history of SB19 it seems like it was a contentious bill if judging by how many amendments were offered in the senate second reading on 4/28/15.

There's nothing like the final days of the House and Senate floors to expose the real character of the members.

My understanding is midnight it the deadline for considering SB 11, but does it have to be voted on by then, or just under consideration by midnight?

So state employees have to undergo a pre-employment drug test, but the same shouldn't be required of our legislators.
