Jill and I know firsthand Kim’s commitment to her job … When Kim served on my security detail when I was Vice President, we came to trust her judgement and counsel. She is a distinguished law enforcement professional with exceptional leadership skills, and was easily the best choice to lead the agency at a critical moment for the Secret Service. She has my complete trust, and I look forward to working with her.

The smell from the decay is really starting to get real ripe. I too fear that there will be more attempts. We have no one in DC to start heads rolling for this travesty,
BUT there are so many reports of negligence, etc. that it's hard to know who to believe on "actual" occurrences. There was a report that Pres Trumps whole SS team except for the head of were swapped out for this event----can't verify that.
It's very evident that there was no real time communications between police and SS.

The most suspicious thing is that the shooter knew where to go and apparently knew how to get access to the roof... like it was an orchestrated event.

Command post had more than 30 minutes to stop the shooter and lock down the building... but no effective response from the command post.

The Trump detail was pulled out at the last minute for a Jill Biden detail in Pennsylvania. The counter sniper unit was assigned at the last minute for Trump's detail with short time to set up.

Trumps detail had USSS field office investigations agents assigned at the last minute. Investigative agents are not protective agents. They are not interchangeable jobs.

QUESTION: How does a twenty something special needs kid manage to out fox the US Secret Service and get off a burst of shots at Donald John Trump???

According to Patrick Yoes, national president of the Fraternal Order of Police, this isn't the snipers' fault.

"Whatever happened in Butler, this was not a failure of the local, state or federal officers on the ground who responded to the shots fired at former President Trump. They acted heroically and put their lives on the line to protect everyone at the event and we must recognize that," he said. "This is a failure at the management or command level who failed to secure an obvious weakness in the security of this event."

I am concerned for Pres Trump. The shooting seems to have changed his demeanor, At the convention last night the fire in the eyes was gone. Where is Melania? Haven't seen or heard from her since before the shooting. Do I blame him for changing....not a bit

Cheatle stated in an interview that snipers were not allowed on the roof of the AGR building for safety concerns due to the dangerous slope of the roof.Yes, she actually said that. She went on to say they decided to secure the building from INSIDE! No drones used limited SS. She used 1860's tactics. The kind that got Lincoln killed. Was it purposeful or simply incredible incompetence? We'll never know. Biden should have fired her immediately. Of course Biden wouldn't even let the WH say it was an assassination attempt, calling it an incident.

Joe Biden can't fire Cheatle because Jill Biden won't let him.

I read an article last night about concern about an Iranian attack on President Trump. My first thought was this was chumming the waters to give a good story for the next attempt.
