Good analysis by Kostas Moros on DNI Tulsi Gabbard releasing the Biden Administration’s Strategic Implementation Plan for Countering Domestic Terrorism. You can read his thread below, but some highlights:
This is some of the strongest evidence I've seen of why the Second Amendment is a critical anti-tyranny tool. The Biden Administration implicitly admitted it here!
Gun control is not just banning objects of defense, it is also an ideological tool to make a more docile population, as this proves. They want us to be harmless subjects like the Europeans are.
I hope people grasp what a big deal this is.
The Biden Administration was pursuing bans on common rifles and magazines, among other gun control, as a way to "increase faith in democracy and government." It's dystopian.
And it's an admission that they saw the Second Amendment as not a right to be protected, but a threat to their vision of the country.

From our new Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice posting on X (Twitter) in response to changes where the Trump DOJ is actively supporting the 2A in court:
filed an amicus brief in support of the cert petition in Wolford v. Lopez, in which it argues that Hawaii's private property default carry ban violates the Second Amendmendment.

Second Amendment issues are civil rights issues.

Are the Epstein files still on Blondi's desk? 100+ days, no arrests for anyone on the list.

I know the AG has stated that the FBI withheld documents when she first demanded them, Let's hope the new FBI director can get all of them. But there are rumors that a whistle blower claims the FBI and others have been deleting the evidence, but that has not been publicly substantiated.
I get that the victim's names must be redacted for their privacy and safety concerns as that should be paramount. But release every name that is a person of interest as possibly being involved in the abuse of these underage victims. I would start with making a deal with Ghislaine Maxwell where she is pardoned and given a new identity if she can provide tangible evidence against those disgusting perps.

Trump and Elon part ways over big beautiful bill.
Apparently no longer on speaking terms.
Timeline of the split

I have kind of noticed we haven't seen much of the Epstein documents, certainly no bedroom videos have been released.

Pizza deliveries at Pentagon showed it was going to happen.
People have mentioned that they can’t release Epstein documents if people are going to be prosecuted.
We will see.

DOGE enters the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives with the goal of revising or eliminating dozens of rules and gun restrictions by July 4.
The Washington Post, but they posted the above on X (Twitter). I hope the following is true:
If the plans are enacted, it would be a major win for pro-gun advocacy groups, who have long claimed ATF is an agency with too many gun regulations that tramples on Second Amendment rights.

House Representative Andrew Clyde (Georgia) filed amendment to the BBB that passed the Senate. This would be the last hope this session since the Senate failed to overrule or fire the Harry Reid Democratic Parliamentarian. NOTE: The tax in the Senate version was reduced to zero, which is a victory in part. But would be great to get a complete win on the NFA:

BREAKING: I just introduced an amendment to the Senate-passed budget reconciliation bill to remove the NFA registration requirement for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs.
I’m fighting til the very end to get as many 2A wins in the OBBB as possible.

I'm very much a fan of Rep. Clyde, and very much of 2 minds on the 'win' in the OBBB. I absolutely want to see the NFA gutted, but I can see that a $0 tax/registration is wide open for court challenges. If only I had confidence that SCOTUS would actually accept a case like that when/if it reaches them.

That's great, except if the Senate version is amended by the House then it goes back to the Senate who can just strip it out and send it back.

Big Beautiful Bill passes and will be sent to Trump for signature on July 4, 2025, the 249 th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
Happy Independence Day!!
The bill includes:
$50,000 tax deduction for Native American whaling captains that is dear to the heart of Lisa Murkowski, a wavering Republican senator from Alaska.
