Kahr PM9: Pocket carry, kangaroo, or Comp-Tac Two O'Clock. This is the most versatile gun for carry.

XD 40 service: Comp-Tac CTAC IWB Usually with an untucked shirt or a Comp Tac belt holster also with an untucked shirt.

I have had no problem carrying my Mini 1911 with a tuckable IWB holster. ( Galco SkyOps http://www.usgalco.com/ViewLargePic.asp ... KU=SKY212B ) I use my cell phone to help cover.

No one at my office has noticed. My wife didn't notice until we watched the Fox 4 story on CHL at the state fair. She didn't believe that I could carry wearing a tucked shirt and jeans until I let her know that I had been carrying for several weeks.

When I have pants(usually Khakis) with deep pockets I carry a S&W 340 Titanium Scandium J frame in .357 mag(loaded with .38 SP +P) in a Uncle Mike's pocket holster.

When I have shallow pockets I carry a Beretta Tomcat .32 Auto in a Galco pocket holster.

I feel safer carrying the Smith, but a .32 is better than nothing.
Pretty much the same for me. In hot weather with no coat it is a 340PD in Mika holster in right front pocket loaded with Speer 135gr SB .357s, or Seecamp 32.

I got grief for wearing a sport coat at Charles Cotton's September 28 seminar.

But Charles's presentation deserves a bit of respect.

My normal carry is a Springfield Champion (1911, 4" barrel, full-size frame).

It gets a little hot in the summer (okay, very hot), but as I dress this way year-round anyways, it's bearable. Keeping a quart-size water bottle handy is also good.
Same here.I also carry the Springfield Champion 4" 1911 in an IWB Bianchi holster.I wear an oversized tshirt and jeans year round, usually with a "hoodie" sweatshirt in the cooler months.

Greybeard wrote:Many folks realize pretty quickly they have to "compromise" sometimes to carry more frequently - or everywhere it is legal to do so. My "top 2 carry guns" are S&W airwight j-frame and Kahr PM-9. IWB much of the time with shorts and untucked shirts - alaslobovia to some. ;-)
Greybeard,

I second the motion on the S&W J-frame (mine is a 642) or the Kahr PM9. However, I've pretty much gone exclusively to front pocket carry because I'm too short and fat to carry IWB comfortably.

I find a De Santis "Tuck This" as ideal to carry an M&P 40 and 30 rounds of ammo (2 mags). I do not wear a vest or a coat or go around with my shirt tails out.

I have been carrying for about 5 years and feel the pain of the hot texas sun. I love large T-Shirts and square cut golf shirts.
Adding to my challenge I only carry full size 1911's and most are custom finish guns. At first the oils from my skin started to corrode the finishes because I do not wear a undershirt and the fire arm was in direct contact with my skin.
I took my holsters 1 leather high ride paddle, 1 belt loop and 1 IWB with a extension to give some seperation. I have since modified all of my holsters with a piece of thin calf skin leather to completely seperate the gun from my skin and it is the most comfortable addition I could ever immagine.
I use them in practical practice (IDPA) with no issues, leather flap getting in the way.

I don't understand why more holster manufacturers don't build in a "Sweat Guard" into their IWB holsters. It only makes sense.
