My status is "Processing Application" as well !

Well, I was going to just delete my thread since you got one started a few minutes before I submitted one, but since there has already been a reply on the one I started I can't delete it.

Happy? I'm waiting on my renewal to come back but not happy at the length of time it will take.

Me too. Got my PIN today and same thing, "processing application".

I did everything online. Packet came in Oct 23, took the class Oct 25th. Sent it in Oct 28...My status still shows "Packet Mailed to Applicant" as of today.

THAT is a little disconcerting... I mailed my packet on Monday, and obviously mine still says that as well...I DO know that my packet was received by them.

Called and spoke to a girl named Angie. I called to ask about the online status and why mine still says "Mailed to applicant". She just said to give it a week or 2 for it to update online and that they probably just haven't gotten to mine yet to change the status. I guess I'll check it again next week or this weekend.

I checked online again, and it is still showing the same "Packet mailed to applicant" status. I will probably have to give them a call again. I hope they didn't lose it or something.

EDIT: So I called and spoke to someone. He says that it doesn't show that they ever got it in their system, and said that it is probably still sitting in the mailroom. I have a delivery confirmation that says they got it. He said to just keep calling in weekly for the next couple of weeks to check. This is really bothersom.

I recently bought a Glock 27 and I too am eagerly waiting...

OK, I have put my flame suit on because I know I am an ID.10.T for waiting so long. So here it is. I took the class back in Spring 2007. I mailed my packet to Austin and it was received October 17. Got my PIN today, November 17. Signed in to the DPS website to check status and it says "No application or license/certificate active." Not sure how to take that since they have sent me my PIN number.

Any suggestions? Other than why the heck did I wait so long to mail it in. :)

Good news:

Took class Oct 17th
Mailed packet Oct 21st
Got my pin in the mail Nov 17th


Not sure how long it takes from this point, however at least now I know they have it.

How long does it take after you get a PIN? Don't remember anyone saying but then I don't remember much anyway. DPS got my packet on 10/24 and got a reply to an e-mail with the PIN today. Got home and there was the letter from DPS with the same info. How long now? If it's back down to 60 days there is hope that I will need to give myself another concealable pistola for Christmas.
