I just received my copy a few days ago, and I've enjoyed reading it so far. It is very readable. I am reminded of other books of history that are good reads - Shelby Foote's The Civil War trilogy, Doris Keans Goodwin's Team of Rivals, for instance.

I've been particularly fascinated by the colonists' reliance on Blackstone's interpretations of the British Bill of Rights to support their right to keep and bear arms, and to support their aversion to the keeping of standing armies for the purposes of political oppression. I'm learning a lot by reading it, and it has not been at all boring so far.
