Accidental printing is not a criminal offense.

Kevin, thanks for pointing that out!

The only thing I don't like is windy days. They plaster my shirt to my side and I usually wind up carrying a smaller pistol in a deep concealment holster. As mentioned above, choosing the right carry gear is as important as choosing a firearm. The only other thing I don't like is having to turn around and head back to the car to lock up my pistol because there's a 30.06 posted.

My problem is fineing the right holster that you can wear all day. have 4 expensive holsters problems with all 4 either they print or don't feel comfortable. :mad:deleted

I was having the problem of the holster causing more printing/bulging than the gun. I found this little holster. I paid $31.10 for it after tax & shipping. Sometimes I do have to fool around with it to make it work, but its been a good little holster. It covers the trigger and keeps the gun on my pants rather than letting it drop down my pants leg. Those were my main concerns.

EXCELLENT choice of weapon. I am partial to Ks & every one knows it. Holsters are high quality & a good cross section. I have carried a 5" 1911 & also found it to be noticable. I did not call it uncomfortable though I am sure some would. That last inch is a lot when it comes to accuracy or comfort. Think about the loaner education program & if I can help holler.

Gene, I recommend getting with other gun owners and exchanging holsters.
What works for some may not work for others.
Most gun owners have more holsters than guns.

What I don't like about TX CHL.....having to be a ding dang drugstore lawyer to use it!

I can deal with equipment difficulties. It is the abundance of "off limits" areas and lack of clear legal definitions that makes using the CHL a real pain in the rear.

Texas is great. Just wait until you drive to Arkansas and go tiptoeing through that minefield!

So far i've been pretty happy. haven't seen a 30.06 sign in my little burg and I haven't been to a mall that has them since Grapevine Mills.

As far as Federal property, I carried the entire time I was in Big Bend NP. nobody asked, I didn't tell. too close to Mexico to not IMO.

Post Offices are a pain.

Holsters i've not had too much trouble. I've got 3 ATM. 2 cheap Uncle Mikes IWB's and a WRB tuckable. I really like the WRB. Cost me $25+shipping and it holds my PT111MP in place just great. even ran a 200m Relay with it and had no troubles with movement. (didn't have place to stash the gun)

I'll probably pick something up thats more for deep concealment sometime this summer

That is what I like to hear! I am still looking for my "marathon" holster. The one I can wear while running 20+ miles.

I would prefer the OPTION of open carry just so I could relax about the accidental flashing of my gun for an unitetional raising of the shirt. I would likely rarely truly OPEN carry though.

I too have yet to run into a 30.06 sign in my normal travels. Did hit one at the Georgetown Hospital when we had to take the kiddo to the ER while visiting family though. But I anticipated that.

What I dont like about it is my endless need to buy more/different guns to carry and of course, that means more holsters, different ammo etc...

Damn, this gun thing gets expensive, quick!

The laws more about making lawyers money than it is about our legal rights.
