I think that both brands are the same price at Midway actually (as far as the USPc goes), and so it is just personal preference.

Yes Sir, they are a major pain, that's why a lot of gun shops won't even install them. The Annoyed Man wrote:They charged me $35.00 to put the sights on my USPc, but maybe they are easier to install than on an XD.Mike from Texas wrote:Euless Guns & Ammo will install them, but it will cost you about $100. Your cheapest route will probably be to send it back to Springfield and have them do it. As I recall, they are pretty reasonable.
Sounds like Gun Masters in Plano. They use the same method, except they incorporate a grinder to get the job done.heliguy972 wrote:Don't go to bass pro. Had them install ghostring tritium sights on my XD45C and the didn't use a sight pusher, used the "Old" school dowel and hammer. The dowel / hammerslipped and marked the slide forever. They didn't charge me at all but they need a sight pusher or need to get rid of the old school gunsmiths...
I've just been doing business with him for a few weeks (ammo, leather, snap caps, etc.)Has anyone had SPS in Carrolton install sights on an XD?
I guess experiences vary. The Trijicons I bought were very bright at night, and they seem fine to me for daytime use as well. I'm just relieved to have a set of sights that works.Carrots wrote:TAM, I have found Meps to be brighter than Trijicons and so I think that you just got a bad set. I have also found the Meps to be easier to use for daytime shooting as well. Of course being able to pick up the sights at night is important, but thus far I have found myself shooting a lot more during the day![]()
Anyhow we are all different, so this is just a fyi.
