I can't think of a single President in recent history that didn't have at least one excuse to turn around and whack the Protocol Officer upside the noggin.
I care about the issues and not the "all-important" bad image that a President portrays when he hurls on the guy next to him, falls off a stairwell coming off an airplane or bows to somebody.

A bow is a bow. It shows subservience to a higher authority. NO U.S. President should do so.

We have to remember its not a subservient thing in Asia if bowed as equals. Its a common greeting. Europe is differnt-no way, but no one bows there anymore. My only issue was that it was done so badly. "rlol"

From that point of view he bowed waaaaaay too low. I thought the Emperor might have told him that his shoe was untied.

When two men hold hands does it mean the same thing in the park as it does when A US President does it with the leader of a non-democratic nation??

Late night hosts on multi-billion dollar broadcast networks repeatedly mocked Bush for his mistakes and that was fine, but when a private citizen makes a similar comment about Obama, the thought police try to limit free speech.

:headscratch

The dream police, they live inside of my head.
The dream police, they come to me in my bed.
The dream police, they're coming to arrest me, oh no.

Cheap Trick

Are these the thought police you are fretting about? :-)

No we are employing our right to free speech as well. The First Amendment says you have the right to ask why Obama is bowing. It also affirms my equal inalienable right to say the issue is bubkis. Thats the whole point of the thing.
