LOL... this thread reminds me of my days as a licensed private investigator in Texas. I was working for a company based up in Dallas. Anyway, they had hired this kid, who I had to ride around with one day. While taking a break, he pulls out this new, shiny PI badge that he paid around $90 for and starts telling us how we can carry one too and where he got his.
So, later on I told my supervisor about this guy's shiny badge. A few days later when they got around to it, they told this guy that in Texas, PIs are not allowed to carry badges. I guess its now an expensive paper weight
Anyway, I agree with the others. CHL badge = bad idea.

I'm pretty sure that only people who have a Texas CHL or are applying for one know what CHL stands for. Google search CHL and see how many other things it stands for.

And a new post office thread, all in the same day.
If we can get the "whats the best ammo/gun" and "How do i register/unregister my gun" questions asked this year will be done. Oh, the old Gun Poll from 2007 already reared its head as well.

Whew...I'm relatively new to the guns and this makes me afraid to ask any questions. I think I'll go back to mostly lurking and wait for someone else to get razzed!

Please don't feel that way.

I fail to see why. I am always stepping on my tu-tu in this forum, yet I continue to post. I call it "spraying and praying".

Yes, I am learning how the forum software works as well. I have not been much of a forum hound in the past. But honestly, I can use the search feature on google and get similar results. I prefered asking the questions here because this seems a little more cozy and familiar-like. Also, it's often quicker than pouring through endless threads from 2006. I just figured if people didn't want to answer them again, they'd just ignore them the fourth time around when another new person like myself asked the question.

The nice thing on this forum is that those re-hashed regulars don't get mocked. Usually they get several sincere answers right away. . . . I figure it's part of the lifecycle: the n00bs get their answers from the most-recent n00b graduates, who got theirs from the class before them, etc. Every now and then the elder statesmen chime in and correct the bearings of the thread ever so slightly.
