Can2boy, if you're in the market for an AK I don't really see them coming down much more than they are now. $350-$380 is really a steal for what you get.

Well, after thinking about it a bit, more like 20 gauge felt recoil. The slight bruising of my shoulder and mild soreness reminded me of shooting 4-5 consecutive rounds of skeet. No biggie, but definitely much more recoil than an AR. In fact, I don't see how those with underfolders or wire stocks can shoot an AK comfortably.
I'd LOVE to see you shoot an M44 with a metal buttplate... I'll even let you use mine if I can film it!

Actually, I would love to shoot one of those sometime. I might have to take you up on it. Although, I doubt it has as much recoil as the .50 cal I shot recently. The whole range felt the recoil from the .50 cal. We were basically having to call cease fires on the range to shoot it because it was catching to many people off guard and creating a dust storm.

Which .50? Some of them have pretty darn effective muzzle brakes

I'm dying to shoot a .50 caliber at some point. I don't want to own one, but shooting it would be a hoot!

Tapco mags never fit properly the first time, they're good in the variant AKs because TAPCO adds extra material onto the mag...so as you keep inserting your mag...the material will wear to custom fit the AK...which means no mag wobble.
