...in life, I've found that teachers often don't have as good a grasp on the subject as those who've been out there doing it for years...this is one of those times...find an old, fat, grey-haired cop and he'll give you good advice based on experience, not just his opinion....

Pocket carry a Kel Tec P-11 (12+1 9mm) in a Desantis holster. I feel pocket carry might be slower if not practiced however if a situation occurs its easy to already have your hand on the gun (casualy) in your pocket ready to deploy. Also if robber is asking for money can reach in pocket as if its a wallet.
Disadvantage of pocket carry is presenting while driving. Usually move gun to console.
