				the thing that takes so long is the background check. If the FBI does one why then does the DPS have to do one? dont they share the same information?

				No, I would not pay any more.
It is too much as it is (and I only pay half).
The whole thing for everyone should be about 10-20 bux!

As it was explained to me by my neighborhood DPS officer (he lives a few doors down), because Texas is a border state DPS does more to verify your information before sending your plastic.

				At about $300 for the class and license, not even to mention the cost of the ammo, it's already too expensive.  But, it is better than where I came from...I can actually get a CHL here.
