Still no sights...
I did get a reply from my original email. They said it typically takes 1-2 weeks to receive them from the manufacturer. It has been 14 calendar days, and item still shows to be on hold/not in stock. I emailed them again today and asked for a detailed status. If they have even placed the order with the manufacturer. I figured I'd give them a little time just to see how this played out before I cancel the order and get them somewhere else. I'm not in a huge hurry anyhow.
Also, as it turns out, they did not charge my card yet. So, they don't have my money. I'm assuming they don't take payment until they ship the item.

Good report, thanks for that. Sorry you had to go thru all this.
Kinda blows away the business registering here and posting (1 post) their spiel in this thread.

Here is the latest from opticsplanet...
Greetings from OpticsPlanet!
Thank you for your follow up. The updated ETA is 7/19/11. As soon as the item is in stock, we will notify you via email and process the order. I do apologize for the delay and we appreciate your patience. Have a great day!
I'll be out of town that week so maybe I'll have something waiting for me when I return...doubt it though.

An update on mine too (not meant to hijack) but I informed Optics Planet of my defective sights. It takes 48hrs for a quality assurance team to tell me they cannot do anything without an RMA request. Send RMA next day and it takes two more days for a prepaid UPS label to be emailed to me. UPS is going to pick it up today but I bet it takes another 2 weeks before my correct sights arrive. I am less than satisfied.

that sucks, but, at least they are replacing them and paying for shipping. Let us know how long until the replacement sights come in.

Sorry, been busy and traveling a lot lately. Still no sights...
I emailed them once again on the 28th i believe. Here is what I got back:
"Greetings from Opticsplanet.com!
Presently, we are still awaiting the delivery of the back ordered merchandise on your order. The estimated time for delivery is 5-August-2011. The supplier is working on getting this to us as quickly as possible and has confirmed we should receive it no later than this expected delivery date. Once we have received the shipment from the supplier, we will be shipping it out to you and will notify you by email with the tracking number of your order.
We apologize for the delay and please let us know if there is anything further we can do to assist you at this time. "
Today is the 5th, and online status still shows expecting for stock. When I received the email above, I presumed it was a lie just to buy them some more time, but figured I'd giv'em the benefit of the doubt. Looks like I was right. Normally I would have cancelled this order long ago, but I just want everyone to know what they are dealing with at this company. And, to see if they do anything to make up for it. Funny that OP Brian is silent.

The Mepro's are worth the wait...
We've had a rash of garage burglaries and a daylight smash and grab in the area recently. So when my dog started barking at ~5:AM this morning I didn't wait for her to quiet down. She NEVER barks at night. Only barks at opossums and door knockers during the day/evening. As I was checking the house and yard I was surprised at how bright the Mepro's are... Between the pre-dawn back-light and the glowing sights.... Would have made for easy aiming had it been necessary.
Barking remains unexplained... Hopefully just a jogger.
Nothing that was close enough or big enough to trip the motion sensor lights.
Good dog.!

He was tipped off about this thread and my post, came here to register and post his spiel.
He's probably very busy making his excuses at many other sites as well.

Finally got them in last week! Was kinda disappointed that they didn't offer some sort of consultation to try to make up for the 3 month wait. Take an additional % off, or even offer a $10 off your next purchase or something. Anything at all really. But nothing. However, they are in my possession, and I plan on installing them this weekend.
Bottom line is this: It was a great deal(money wise) IMO. Got them for 74 and some change instead of having to pay 120 through Kimber. So, if you do your Christmas shopping in July, this might be the route to take. If you need something fairly quick, definitely go another route. I personally will not use them again. If they would have at least attempted to make it right in some way, then I would have given them another chance. But they didn't, so they have lost a customer.
Anywho, hopefully I get them on this weekend, and Ill post some pics. BTW, anyone know where i can get Loctite 620?
