Don't let this happen to you.

That was good. Yes it is funny. My knees are really bad. There have been 2 times while training that I too have fallen. That is something you cannot really simulate. You can lay down, start from the ground, but to really fall w/ a loaded 1911 brings a lot of mental & physical discipline to bear. Both times I have refused to stop the fire training & know how I will react if that happens. Tough practice but as important to me & other half-cripples as other drills.

Yes Skiprr, I worked w/ a young & very promising shooter this past Friday. I spelled fast for him too. S---M---O---O---T---H.
That is not original, but nothing I do or teach is. I learned it all from some older guys that would take time w/ me as a young shooter.
W/ that I thank all of them.

I'm new to CHL, dont know anyone from this forum, and definitely have never been to PSC, but it looks like a good time.

If there is a CHOICE hotel (quality inn, rodeway inn, comfort inn) in the area i may be able to get a good rate for everyone.

There are several Choice Hotels in the area. I think the closest are --

Comfort Inn (TX483)
1535 South Bypass 35
Alvin, TX, US

Comfort Suites (TX942)
W. Bay Area Blvd. & N. Texas , Webster, TX, US, 77598

Quality Inn at NASA (TX326)
904 E. NASA Rd. 1 , Houston, TX, US, 77058

If i could get a count on how many rooms might be needed, i can find out what rate they would give me.

Somebody needs to get a count of committed out-of-town visitors. I'm not sure how to do it. Maybe one of the moderators could start a sticky thread.

I live within driving distance.

When we get closer to Sept. 29th, I'll start an RSVP thread.

It might be worthwhile to call one of them at some point soon to see if a block of rooms would qualify for a group rate.

Exactly, id like to see what kind of rate they would give an employee.

I'd definitely like to be there. I'll see what I can arrange. I do greatly appreciate the early notice. With my job, I need some planning time. I'll put it on my calendar today when I go in.
