...it would benefit women all over Texas if those who carry would start getting interviewed/written about by the local media...I think the media would cover women more fairly than they would cover us guys...if dozens of stories surfaced about armed women, the word would get around and crimes against women might drop significantly...thugs are cowards...

got my CHL last year.
carry my gun just about everywhere (not at my job, unfortunately). right along with my cell phone, chapstick and wallet (don't use a purse much)

My wife and I got our CHL's together. She's talking our son into getting his since we got him a 1911 for Christmas. She's also talking her sister in law into getting hers since my wife carries every day. I train in a triathlon group with about 2 or 3 females who carry. Needless to say, most of the guys can't believe the conversations we have on our long bike rides. I think the girls ride stronger knowing they have their CHLs.
