Oh yeah, I didn't read anything about the KelTec PLR-16. 9.2" 1:9" barrel, piston driven so no buffer tube, takes AR mags, & if you want to SBR it the SU-16 parts swap on very easily.

Quick shot of mine, 11.5" Adams arms piston upper with Samson evolution free float rail, northtec defense billet lower, moe rubber grip, spikes battle trigger, and the sb15 arm stabilizer. I did 11.5 because it will eventually be an SBR and I liked this length to work with my 762sdn6. Hence the AAC Brakeout flash hider.

What did you do to tighten it? Mine is really loose.
Nothing yet... I left on a road trip 3 days after I posted that pic and I've been gone ever since

I received a shipment of 10 a few days ago and two sold the moment I opened the box!

:bigear: can you say what it is yet?

OK OC,,,Can you say what this is yet?

Time has come and gone, and inquiring minds want to know! :totap:

ok, this was one half of it: EXTAR has a single-point QD sling mount that's now available for $19.95 here http://newfrontierarmory.com/catalog/in ... s_id=58542" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There is also supposed to be an interesting magazine holder that positions mags horizontally toward the rear. Convenient enough to shoulder the pistol "in an emergency." I think they're still waiting for ATF approval, since it would NOT be considered something that modifies it to be a SBR (as in: no tax stamp!). Still waiting for those formalized details.

What's your price on a EXP-556 out the door? It looks like fun now that 5.56 ammo is back on the shelves.

Do you keep these in stock? I've been looking at the Bond Arms Derringer 410/45 but I think I just changed my mind!

Someone enlighten me. Can you put a folding stock on a AR Pistol? I notice the arm brace on the one in some of the pics is legal but I'm curious about some other type of stock being legal. I am actually curious why the brace is legal as well but I've read where it is.

It's crazy to me that you can have a pistol with a short barrel but a AR15 with a stock shorter than 16" is illegal.

You can put a folding stock on a pistol in Texas after applying for and receiving your SBR stamp. The arm brace is not a stock, and nothing considered a stock is ok without the stamp. Be careful with anything you do and check, and double check the laws.

The pistol is $450 on the website so even if you have to special order it and pay a transfer fee, it shouldn't cost much more than $500.

OldCannon wrote:If you're looking for an AR pistol, an Extar EXP-556(http://extarguns.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). is a great way to get one for a lot less than a "normal" AR pistol. Lightweight (3lbs) and have amazingly low recoil even for shooting a 5.56mm round.

However, a short-barreled AR pistol is going to be loud, and an EXP-556 is no exception. You'll think you've unleashed Thor's hammer with each shot
i got one of the very first ones -- sadly i paid like 200 more than they sell for now but even at 650 i still like it -- have shot probably 500 rds through it and only had one issue with a stuck casing (steel case) -- popped it out no problems since -- i did have to change the hammer as the first 100 had a recall on them -- mine didn't have any issues but still changed it --- it is SUPER LOUD and HUGE FLAME -- flame is so big it completely messes with my vision -- but as oldcanon says very low recoil if any really

Does the arm brace make a big difference in accuracy? I've seen them for the AR and the AK platforms.

I've been contemplating converting a Draco AK pistol with a wire under folder but if the arm brace helps, I may forgo the extra ATF hassle of getting the SBR stamp.

Couldn't tell ya, never strapped it to my arm and shot it. The one time I did strap it on just to test it out it actually felt very awkward when aiming. I don't lean my head that way when aiming.
