i was spotted once that i know of and it was in the first month i started carrying before i got some longer shirts. I was at Denny's with my wife and parents eating breakfast and when we were getting up to leave my shirt came up and the guy sitting right by us saw it and then looked at me and smiled with an approving nod so it wasn't a big deal. after that i haven't had any for sure that spotted me and outside of my immediate family no one else has any idea.

Not to my knowledge. I'm still pretty careful about my concealment after all this time.

I make sure my sidearm is concealed before I walk out the door. Wife is always with me (except at work) She monitors my 3:00 position all the time to make sure nothing is showing. I was bumped in what I call the money pit (that sucks the money right out of me

) (Walmart) one time but nothing was noticed. It was a huge woman almost knocked me over

The back of my shirt had come up while at the office one time. A guy who doesn't work there, but is in the office a lot (he's more a friend than a casual acquaintance) saw this, and pulled my shirt back down, as I was unaware. The next day, he emailed me and invited me to go hunting.

I've been outed but it was by someone who carries himself. Spotted straps from shoulder holster under vest. But no one has ever spotted my gun.

I've openly carried when relatives are visiting, perhaps a little hidden by the blousing of my shirt, and I don't think they even noticed. If they did, they didn't say anything.

JSThane wrote:I said "yes," because while I can't -prove- it, I'm fair certain that was the reason I got pulled over on a felony stop a few years back. Not that the cops knew anything about a gun; someone (I suspect) saw it while in a store, knew the cops wouldn't do anything over "man with a concealed gun who is doing nothing but buying something," and made up a story that I'd just smashed car windows and stole license plates in the parking lot of the store. The officers were a bit taken aback when they found out I was carrying (although not startled; I WAS in Texas after all) and truly surprised when they found I had done nothing at all, other than buy Gatorade.
The employee that made the bogus call was NOT pleased when the cops went back after finding everything was kosher and "chided" him for making a false report. Nor was he pleased when he found out I had called his corporate offices to complain. I don't believe he works for that corporation any more as a result, which is probably the reason behind his bogus complaint to my department several days later (the kind officers informed him not only had he made a false report, but that it was against another LEO, and from which department

).
Could it be he knew you were a cop and was trying to hassle you because of it?

Of course, I've been spotted - I had the measles.

Spot; to detect or recognize; locate or identify by seeing: to spot a hiding gun.
Sorry to hear of your illness, I had the chicken pox.

I have heard they are rare, but there are spotted Jaguars.

Most mornings I swap off between two motorcycles, the Valkyrie and the Magna. One particular morning I was on the Magna. As I was getting ready, the wife asked me to stop by the water company and drop off a payment, then swing by the downtown post office and drop off a letter in the drop box. I loaded up, strapped my briefcase to the rack, stuck the envelopes in my shirt pocket, and headed out. I swung by the water company drive through and dropped off the payment. The Post Office drop box is conventionally located at the side of the street leading to the Post Office, so I swung by there and dropped off the letter. Arriving at work, I chatted with a couple of co-workers as I unstrapped my briefcase and took off my helmet and gloves. I stalled with those activities until they entered the building, then pulled the vault out of the saddle bag to lock up my EDC. That's when I discovered that I hadn't pulled my shirttail out over it. There it was, sticking out of my waist band for everyone to see. Nobody noticed.
I don't plan to test coverage like that again, but it's a bit of a relief to have it proven to me how little most people notice things on your waist.

Yes, twice. Once my friend's wife, after I stop by to drop some newspapers, asked him if I was carrying 2 guns (one was a gun, another was a double mag)!
Second time was my friend himself, told me I was printing.
