Ah, the Bill Cosby School of Parenting.
I'm pretty sure that I heard this way before Bill Cosby made it popular. It appears that Bill Cosby used this in one of his routines in 1983.

I remember him using it on one of his albums (for you younger folks, vinyl records) back in the 70's. Thats where I got it from

Well, in the interest of accuracy, the way it was relayed to me in my youth was "I brought your (censored) into this world and I can take your (censored) out"...

Nawh, people around there were Dixiecrats back then. That was before the Democratic Party had been taken over by the Socialists.

I will admit that that I was responsible for what some parents might consider :reddevil living hell. :reddevil and I am sure that I put a few grey hairs on my parents head.
and as such, I am fearful that if I ever have the mistake of having children of my own, the karma will be too much for me to handle and I most certainly will have to return them.

I was kicked out of school, received poor grades (because I was too lazy to do my homework), staying out all hours of the night, and probably a lot more worth mentioning... but I digress. For the most part I was a good kid, I was a smart kid, just not smart enough to know when to stop messing around and get serious.

Looking back now, I can see that I caused a lot of heartache for my folks. Sorry mom.

I don't know when I became a respectable adult, but here I sit, in my own house, married, with a real job... and I believe that I owe a large debt of gratitude to my folks for not selling me on the black market when I was causing them all that grief so few year ago.

I remember back in the 70's when grandparents would threaten their offspring with beatings if they didn't vote Democrat. Folks still held a grudge about Lincoln's Republican carpetbaggers :)

There is the proof, folks. It DOES get better!

And, just for the record, we could not be more proud.

Congratulations Crossfire. Hopefully mine will grow up some day.

My daughter the HS Senior was telling me how grown up they were becoming. She said "It won't be long and we'll be moving out" I said, "One can only hope" it took her a few seconds to realize what I had said and be offended.

While paying bills one day I had my teenage boys join me for an economics lesson. Upon calculating how much they would need to earn to enjoy their current accommodations elsewhere they both informed me that they have no plans of moving out, ever. Looks like I won't have a long trip to visit the grand kids. :smilelol5:
