Two wheel riders railing against helmets is dumb.
While I don't ride a motorcycle, I do pedal a bicycle (25 miles every other day) and have cracked a helmet when I very forcefully hit concrete with the back of my head. Had I not been wearing a helmet, I'd not be here...

Id ask that you consider your position for a different angle... Personally decision and responsibility.Abraham wrote:Two wheel riders railing against helmets is dumb.

Plenty of folks out that that will say owning a gun is dumb.. Id guess you disagree ..
I think as long as the rider is making an informed, educated, adult decision understands the risks of not wearing and benefits of wearing one and is willing to except the personal responsibility of the choice, they should be free to make it. My position is to always attempt to provide information...
Same with those that choose a "dumb" half helmet...or "Dumb" 3/4 helmet or make a "dumb" choice to not wear boots, or gloves, or a motorcycle specific jacket, or pants..
IOW I don't view it was dumb, just informed or not. Same as I would hope you would allow for those that make the choice to not own or carry a gun for self protection..

E.Marquez,
I hear you, so I'll rephrase: Ignoring the obvious need of a helmet if one rides a two wheel conveyance is a monumental risk.
Nah, that's PC baloney.
It is dumb...just ask Gary Busey who railed against the wearing of a helmet while he rode his motorcycle, until he conked his bare noggin, almost died, where after he was a big fan of helmets.
Not doing some things or conversely doing some things, can be dumb, or to be more accurate, stupid.
But yes, if you're an adult you get to make the decision to wear or not wear a helmet.
You're a good guy E.Marquez, but I'm an adult too, and if my saying not wearing a helmet is stupid and saying so offends, well, that's the way the mop flops sometimes...
I'm not into PC.
