If Texas were to turn blue, how many would choose to stay because they have deep roots here? Why would anyone criticize a company that chooses to stay rooted in a difficult location? It's completely counterproductive.

It's simply the wrong thing to do to penalize a company for existing in a location that leans anti-gun.

How far do you take this personal choice? And how seriously do you take it?
Do you do business with any companies in California? Do you own an HP printer, an Apple iPhone?
How about these companies that are all based in Silicon Valley LINK? Do you own any of their stuff? Do you shop in their Texas retail locations?

How gun-unfriendly does the location have to be to qualify for your boycott?
Do you ever visit Austin? Would you do business with a company based in Austin?

I stopped doing business with CTD due to that companys' behavior (price gouging, IMO). The notion that we should stop doing business with an otherwise gun-friendly business that has limits imposed on them by their chosen location and decides not to relocate (for whatever reason) is simply ridiculous.

Gun = (pistol/rife), firearms.
Clip = magazine.
Sometimes these things slip my mind. Which ironically, everyone talks about gun violence, gun control, etc..

My family (mostly - certainly not me) decided not to move to improve their financial welfare when they had a chance to improve their lives.

Golly gee, heck, our cousins and friends will get left behind and our fragile emotional status can't bear that. Ah, ok, then suffer the consequences weenies...

Now for the most part, they're all broke and some on welfare. Job opportunities are less than adequate, but they have the plus of their family and friends who're equally broke...my attitude toward them? Go to hades....

Just can't go along with moving?

Fine, live with zero dignity.

Others, stronger, move with the times.

Kinda like the rest of the world who cares to improve.

I can deal with a company staying in a gun unfriendly state providing they are gun rights supporters and supporting the effort to change the law. Not everyone wants to move or can move. I am not going to slam them just for that. A lot of people are upset with Springfield Armory and Rock River. They violated that by going for the legal carve out just for them. If Springfield Armory moved out of Illinois tomorrow, it wouldn't change what their leadership tried to do.

It sounds like Optics Planet never sold 30 round mags in the first place so I don't see any issue.

Actually, in America we CAN all move, but what some can't tolerate is the sacrifice it takes.

Loss of loved ones, old friends, financial sacrifice and on and on.

I've lived all over the world. Talk about a loss of loved ones and friends...Try living in another country...

Some simply, just can't stand the emotional loss of moving and would rather live in poverty.

Why would I say this?

Because 'the bite' has been put on me,...more than once 'to help'.

Not willing to improve your life situation by moving, but plead for me to help - no.

I made the sacrifice...if you're not willing, live with the consequences...

Am I a hard case so and so...you bet. I hitchhiked around the country for years, slept under bridges, cemeteries, old trees, abandoned cars, Salvation Army transient lodges and rescue missions, worked in low rent restaurants, carnivals, ranches and dairy farms. Until finally I had a chance to finish high school (at my own insistence) working 40 plus hours a week after school in a grocery store. I finished high school with an academic scholarship (that weirdly I didn't apply for....) to attend any school that'd accept me. They all did...

Those are the high lights..

When people tell me, 'WE' can't move, all I can do is shake my head...

This approach isn't something I offer to my Texas born Daughter and Grand Girls. They get lots of help from Grandpa and don't even realize they'll be fabulously wealthy once me and Grandmaw kick off...
