Was this a setup? Looking for a payday?
Or really dumb manager? People hang out at Starbucks all the time. Not sure why the manager was even paying attention.
Unless they attracted attention by talking loudly or something. If they were just sitting there talking or surfing their phone would anyone have noticed.
Most Starbucks I’ve been in the bathrooms you just go in.
Most people go to the bathroom before they order anyway.
Had this Starbucks had problems in the past and the manager may have been profiling?
The not leaving when asked, I don’t understand, unless this was all preplanned to get arrested, put the video on line and have a big payday.
If that was the case, manager played into their hand.

If you have not noticed, manager no longer works there (fired?), they were waiting for a third person to attend as a business meeting who got there just as the pair was being arrested. I think Starbucks just messed up. From the press, Starbucks is bending over backwards to get out from under this and I doubt if anyone will ever know for sure. If I were black though I would really be angry with that Starbucks.

Way to hipster looking to be ejected from Starbucks.
They in fact look like Starbucks regulars.
I’m betting it was all set up.
Yeah manager fired. Very dumb move to throw them out especially with their white “business partner” filming the whole thing for You tube.

Of course it was a setup. The
coincidentally white friend showed up after the police told them three times to leave and they refused three times, but
coincidentally right when the police finally arrested them? Please.
Open Carry Texas could learn a few things from Black Loiterers Matter.

Deadbeats have no "RIGHT" to hang out.
How would you like to come home to discover your yard is now popular with Deadbeats?
How long would it take you to either shoo them away or call the cops if they didn't comply?
My guess: Almost immediately. Does ethnicity enter into this scenario? Nope. Just get off my property, now!

Attracting deadbeats is the new Starbucks business plan.

You no longer have to buy a coffee to use Starbucks' bathroom or plug in your laptop for an afternoon of web browsing,
While some have praised the coffee giant for its more open policy, others have used it to poke fun at the company. On Twitter, some users joked about Starbucks becoming free offices for freelancers, homeless shelters and drug dens.
