Ok initial reports all wrong.

Five people who were shot were volunteers who help direct traffic at these protests, apparently not Antifa.

Shooter was insane man with guns who lived nearby and wanted the protest to stop.

After he shot five unarmed people including a 60 year old woman volunteer, who died, he was stopped by a CHL who shot the shooter in the hip.

You have to look near the end of the story and hunt for it. In the confusion of what had happened he was initially arrested but has been released with no charges. His name was not released.

I was there last September'ish for a trade show at the convention center, stayed at the hotel right there, so, just a block or two walk to the show...very few problems there but you could see just a bit of it...HOWEVER...while Ubering around...a TOTALLY different story...much of it like a war zone...there are still some very nice areas and that's where our group ended up - wined and dined in some amazing places! But still, overall, it's a DUMP!
