Glad this room is here, since it seems near impossible to get any status updates or sense of timeline from the state, and it's nice to know I'm not the only one waiting in limbo. At 55 days from confirmation here...

Dec. 18: Confirmation receipt
Jan. 22: Called for update, told they needed a VOE. Letter not sent for missing documents.
Feb. 9: Sent VOE via TXDPS website.
Feb. 10: All information has been received, background completed. Waiting for the VOE to be entered, and I will be in the print stage.
Feb. 16: Verbally told by Ashley it was in the mailing process.
Feb. 22: Told by Darryl that it has been mailed on 2/19/16. Allow 7-10 business to receive.

To this day, my website has not updated. Hope to see it in hand this week! Will post when it is in hand.

I'm embarrassed,,& people think how could you forget about being arrested,,but it's true, it's how it went down & the many years ago & it never crossed my mind.

I have lived the upmost honorable law biding life one could live since then,, Yes it's true I forgot about an arrest from 1993 non disqualifying though. I was young & dumb & was caught with illegal narcotic if you must know, very small amount & misdemeanor it was. Been drug free life since then. Maybe it scared me bad enough to block it out, don't know the answer.
Anyway I called DPS (amend app) once my memory was recollected (from wife in more conversation about applying) & told them how & what do I do since I sent my application already & the lady said if it was a misdemeanor & that long ago for me not to worry that if there was a issue that they would send me a letter to get a letter of sort & so I haven't been worried about it until these last few days cause of timeline's are getting theirs who sent in their app's several weeks after myself. So, that's why I was sure that you guys who sent in their app's right after me would get their plastic before me. I hope & are sure this would help somebody else. I'm figuring also that they may deny cause of not remembering to put it on the app...only time will tell.

01/05/16: Fingerprints provided
01/16/16: Class completed
01/21/16: Supporting documents email confirmation from DPS

Silence since then. Today is 2/22/16. I guess I am on day 32. Maybe I need to be more patient. Do you hear any updates at all, or just wait and wait and one day it turns up in your mailbox?

Unfortunately I wouldn't or couldn't answer your question but if you go by everyone here, it will just show up.
