Thought I would put in a little info on my status. I spoke to them yesterday and my application is with a technician for review. The email states that the technician received my application on the 15th. the technician will need some time to review and clear the file. Looks like I am on hold for now. I don't know what the review is for and so far I can't seem to get any info. I had a few things from when i was younger and sent in the disposition on one as well as a letter from City of Arlington saying I am all clear and the records are no longer kept.(Class C over 10 years)

df8005 - i'm in the same boat my friend - my file, per Rene, has been with a technician since 2/4 so i'm hoping the worst of the penalty box is behind me - could just be the same luck as being pulled out of the security line at the airport for a detailed bag search - not sure - nothing in my criminal record - in the meantime, i'm staying hopeful and seeing the others get their licenses keeps me confident that the DPS hasn't closed all together on me !!!

after a quick email exchange before lunch today with DPS, learned that "the license has been printed. you should receive it with 1-2 weeks." which i am very relieved and excited to hear - although my status still says processing just for the record, marked myself as "complete" in my own stats - now for the mailbox stakeout !!!

Well, I'm up to day 30 now. I'm going to be calling the DPS in the morning. Considering everyone else (except a few) have had theirs approved by this point, figure I should see whats going on.

I just bought a Taurus TCP 738 yesterday. Figured I'd want a .80 for pocket carry. THIS THING IS TINY! Academy has em for 279.99.

PS if i had a $1 for everytime i checked the status during the last 45 days, could buy another pistol or TWO for sure !!!

Congratulations Ron! My status changed last Friday and I got my plastic on Monday, so hopefully it'll come by this weekend!

Took my new passport photo's and sent them overnight last thursday. Seen where they signed for the package so I sent them an email this morning to make sure everything was satisfactory with the new photos (since I didn't know that something was wrong with the first ones until 20 days after they received my first package) and they tell me that they don't have my package. I don't know if they check their mail everday or once a week so the wait continues.

It sometimes takes a few hours, but I have always gotten an email response on the same day.

They answered my email but they are telling they don't have my photos even though they signed for my package.

I was just about to call after I woke up (at 2pm)... But I logged in first- Application Completed - license issued or certificate active!!!!

This seems to be the stall tactic of the month. Same thing happened to me...rejected photos!! Mailed new one and nothing seems to be happening. They say my license is being printed and should be arrive in 1 to 2 weeks, but they have given that same response now two weeks on a row!!!! I think they get swamped and then find a reason to start stalling things. BTW...first photos have nothing wrong with them!
As far as them checking their mail......mail is not delivered to the address you put on the envelope...goes to central mail room and then distributed from there.

Glad to see everything cleared for you. I am still on the technician review stage and thats all the info I have. Tried to call and get some info and all I got was the standard "your application is under review and if the technician needs anything she will send you a letter in the mail." I was checking to see if they would give any info for the hold up background, finger prints, disposition letter etc....
I wonder why they have you put your phone numbers on your application so they can contact you if they need any information and all they do is send letters that may go out that day or maybe next week?
