I installed the larger back strap a couple nights ago (the pin is a pain), and the grip is a little better, but there still isn't much grip left between my fingertips and palm to get my other hand onto the grip. The more I handle it the more I get used to it though. I think it will just take a little more time and experience with it.
Give it a little more time and put a few more rounds through it. You need to be comfortable with it if it will be your EDC. If your are still having second thoughts after that you can always trade it in on the Glock.

I just took my XD9 SubC to the range today for the second time. I shot much better than the first time. I am getting used to the trigger and I really like it. Practice practice and practice. I made a prototype sheath and need to figure out some stuff before I make the final one and will post up some pics when I get er done.

Just got back from the range breaking in my new glock 26. Flawless with 100 rounds WWB and 150 rounds of my reloads. All in all very pleased at its accuracy. It is not at all hard to control due to its size. It is actually very comfortable in my hand.
I was so pleased that when I got home to check my CHL status to see that nothing has changed, it didn't hurt so bad this time........ if only just a little less.

Yep, that g26 is a pretty nice shooter. Thats what I qualified with for CHL. My LC9 was in the shop at the time.
Hang in there, our CHLs are on the way. Wish I could stop checking on it tho, kinda like a "watched pot never boils".

Congrats to those who got their plastic yesterday! So awesome!
I checked yesterday, no update. Just being silly, I checked this morning. I mean, it is Saturday, right?! But, guess what?! First update!
All the packet stuff received.
Fingerprints and Background Check under review
I'm so excited. Just can't believe it!
My EDC will be an M&P 9c. I've been carrying it around the house. BUG is Bodyguard 380. Just broke it the BUG in at the range last night and I'm having a little buyer's remorse of my own. It feels so good in the hands, but, being so narrow, the spot between my thumb and pointer finger got pretty sore. and the trigger pull is SO long and heavy. But it will do the job and is really easy to conceal.
Since I'm a woman, I'm experimenting with other on-body carry methods besides just IWB. Got in thigh and ankle holsters yesterday from Chic Holsters. I wore the ankle holster under some flare jeans last night all during date night with DH and he never knew it was there. Of course, it didn't have a firearm in it yet. Earlier in the day, I carryied around the house with both rigs, I was amazed how well I could hide that 9mm in relative comfort.
Have a great weekend, everyone!

Z8442,
No change for a MONTH! Someone needs to get a phone call from you next week. That's rediculous.

I know. I have called and sent emails and they keep telling me that I have until 09/29/11 for them to consider the application late. The full 60 days. It seems like they don't care to look into the delay. I actually tried to call yesterday, but the phone line said they were too busy to "take calls at this time". I feel like I am at the mercy of the system.

Congratulations ipscshooter, and welcome bluejay. I checked my gun on a flight from Austin to Denver on Frontier this morning without incident, except that the TSA inspector unpacked and repacked my entire suitcase in public as he hand inspected it. I'll test out reciprocity later this week.
