Well that's true. But I am also a recreational sailor. I have a Catalina 25 sailboat. Actually, I never even thought about naming myself
CoastieCGA72. Hmmmm, nah, too much trouble.

Nothing wrong with a 7 year degree... that's why we send all our slow learners to UT.

KBCraig,
You must be feeling rather pleased with yourself in that you got the math right. But you've made a faulty assumption based on the little info I provided in the first post. Let me share a bit more. I left A&M unwillingly because my financial circumstances changed due to a severe medical illness in my family. So I took a hiatus from school and enlisted in the Air Force for the government's educational benefits. Four years later, I was able to get the Air Force pilot slot at UT that was my dream at A&M. Honestly, I am just as proud to have been an Aggie as I am a Longhorn. But I achieved my goal, despite that "change in fate" and did so while overcoming a few more challenges. Ultimately, I got what I wanted and was able to retire after serving for 23 years in the Air Force. So, you're right....it took me seven years to get that degree. But I'd say that getting Uncle Sam to pay the way puts me in a category other than "slow learner." And now you know the rest of the story.

Shoot, I enjoyed my stay at East Tex Bapt Univ. so much that I stretched my 4yr program into 6 too.

Uncle Sam did not help me any at all though.

SailormanCGA72,
I also like your moniker. And you're right, it is better than "Coastie." I'd also like to thank you for your 26 years of service to our country. Wishing you big blue skies, gentle seas, and a warm fair breeze. Semper paratus!

Looking back on it now, that 26 years just seems like a blur. So many memories, good and bad. Lots of souvenirs over the years from all the exotic places we went, my house looks like a museum. I'm still traveling, but now in the oil business.

Maybe you missed the "

I have an 83 scrambler; that I have been building for a few years. Not all know that a scrambler was also known as a CJ-8.

Well, I used to be a model railroader and I have had this handle since the Prodigy and AOL 2.0 days. It is also my online gaming handle (I also play a lot of first person shooter computer games). Plus how many guys do you know who are named after a locomotive?

Back when the commodore 64 was the new high tech computer I adopted the online handle of Labyrinth Longtooths. I choose Labyrinth because I liked the idea of having a name that meant a maze and had an icon that was a maze. I choose Longtooths after a line in a Hank Williams Jr. Song where he talks about being Long in the tooth to mean he is old.
Back then I used to crack games and would use the name Labyrinth Longtooths. This was around the time that the movie War Games came out and I was doing some “questionable things at the time. I think now they classify them as crimes. I hope the statute of limitations has passed.

Turfspanker is essentially what you want to do after hitting the ball. That is; the clubface hits the ball first, and the ground second. Hit the little ball before the big ball.
