Congrats and happy for everyone that have recently received there plastic!! What frustrates me is I'm at 83 days today and have seen people that have applied anywhere from 2 weeks after me to 1 1/2 months after me already receive there plastic. Goes to show there is no organization at RSD. I know they are busy and overwhelmed but you would think they would finish January before starting on February.

Congrats , I got the same call today. Let's hope it's more like 4-5 instead of a week. I'm just really relieved that the long wait is almost over.

I would bet that you are either approved or getting ready to be approved at this point. I called my rep about 8-9 days ago and received a call back a day or two later and they indicated that they are on early-mid January apps and they'd get to mine in "about a week" (I was all in on 1/15/16). Sure enough, I got a call yesterday (3/30/16 - or 75 days) and they told me I was approved and being sent to print that day. They told me to expect my card in about 7 days, which will be 4/6/16, or about 83 calendar days from submission. Hoping it comes sooner, but at least I know it's coming.

Seems like most of the people getting plastic in the last week or so are in that Jan 5-15 range (between 75-85 days). You could call your rep, but at this point, if you haven't called or heard anything already, I bet your plastic will just show up or you'll see a status change prior to your rep being able to hurry the process along too much. Good Evening/Morning everyone. New to the forum and seeing a wide range of timeframes. Have my fingerprints scheduled. Once I do the fingerprinting, will I receive something from the place I'm getting them done at? Or will they be submitted electronically? If this is a redundant question, my apologies in advance. Looking forward to hearing and reading the posts.

Your fingerprints will be electronically transmitted to RSD and automatically attached to your application.

1/7 Letter from RSD requesting additional documents
1/26 Sent in additional documents
3/22 Called in... Given no helpful info. Was told they would call me back... Never happened
3/30 Re sent in additional documents and also emailed them
3/31 Website updated


Looks like my wait is almost over

I have call RSD 2 times and have only been told that all of my documents have been received and that everything looks good. First call representative advised that it would be 12 weeks from confirmation date. Second call representative advised it would only be 60 days. Now I'm just confused as to who is telling the truth???

I haven't called or emailed any state reps or the governor, I'm trying to be patient but my smith & wesson 40 really wants to go with me everyday and it really hurts to have to tell it "NOT YET" LOL

***UPDATE***

Told myself I was not going to check the website anymore until at least 60 days out but couldn't resist to check it this morning, and.........WHOO HOO ***STATUS CHANGE***!!!!!!

TOTAL DAYS: 49
TOTAL WORKING DAYS: 35

Hope to see my plastic in the mail today or tomorrow, I live close to Austin so it shouldn't be a problem. Good luck everyone and my seat should be available soon.
