Day-131: The Quest continues. I spoke to a rep. at DPS and She told me that they are still waiting on my BC. I asked her who I could contact about the delay. She said that I should contact my state Rep. so they could increase the budget so they can hire more people. :banghead:

I am starting to get :mad5

So Congrat's to all that have been approved. I guess my might get here before Christmas.

4+ months

Actually, this is really good advice - maybe not so much about the 'increase the budget', but contacting your rep really will help get things expedited. More people should do this.

02/28 : CHL Class
03/24 : Packet Mailed
03/30 : Packet Received
05/18 : Received PIN snail mail
Current Status : Processing Application

I'm in Tarrant county. From my above application info, should I be at the point of contacting a State Rep?

Thanks!

Congrats!

But you have to tell me - what is your avatar? It's driving me crazy. I keep thinking it's from a Pixar film but cannot place it.

It does give you hope but Ill tell you this. I contacted my rep and he spoke to DPS as well. The moved it from waiting on BG check to waiting on printing. That was 15 days ago now. Atleast its a different line Im waiting in now. Im almost to 4 1/2 months and wonder if I will surpass 5 before I actually get mine.

Just hit 4 months waiting. Still processing.

This is just rediculous. Oh...and I'm in Harris County. So I guess that just screws me even more.

Well, mine finally switched to "No Application or License/Certificate Active" tonight. The odd thing is that when I checked it at 5PM it said "No Application or License/Certificate Active", when I checked it at 7:30 it said "Processing Application" again, and when I checked it at 7:45 it was back to "No Application or License/Certificate Active". Hopefully this means I will recieve my CHL within a few days.

Plastic arrived today (three days after status changed to "Application Complete..." Instead of a Wally Walk, I did a Northpark Mall walk. I tried on several pairs of shoes (sandals actually) which required sitting and bending over. I wore jeans and a dark Pirate Pete's t-shirt. I used an IWB holster for my Glock 19 and, while I'm not truly happy with the feel, I had no problem with concealment (according to my wife).
