A coworker went a Wally World (somewhere in Dallas area) and of course the shelves were quite bare. In fact he was told by the manager that people are coming in and buying $7k worth at a time. Wish I could afford that, but what was interesting was a sign he saw posted on the counter. He said it read something along the lines of "Due to Pres Obama's upcoming tax on ammunition, we do not know when our next shipment will arrive" or something along those lines. I would go look for myself save for the amount of outrage I would feel! Might as well make a Milk Tax or an Egg Tax! Heck I say we make a Breath Tax in all fairness! He feels he needs Secret Service for protecting, but he is going to hinder what I have available for protection!

Has anyone else seen something like that?

And rename it "Ammo For Sale"... :smilelol5:

It started out as a boohoo, I can't find ammo thread and morphed from there into an ammo price thread. I check them both for the latest "deals". :coolgleamA:

Wife and I went to Bass Pro Shop here in San Antonio last Saturday. 90% empty on handgun ammo, 75% empty on rifle ammo, 115% full on shotgun ammo. Went to the WalMart on 1604/Culebra - 2 boxes of .380 (I got one and the man behind me got the 2nd). Sales lady said that was the first ammo seen in the store for over 4 weeks. Put it out 5 minutes before I came in.

The Wal-Mart in North Dallas (near Dallas Parkway and Arapaho) had quite a few boxes of WWB .45 and 9mm in stock. I didn't really look to see what else they had...
