I'm one of those likely to disagree with you, but I couldn't agree more with this statement. I'd love to make it out to a Forum day and meet some of yall. :txflag:

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's the person who said it, even though I don't think that's the way the name is spelled. Not sure, and too lazy to go look it up right now.

Robert Anson Heinlein (don't know if the quote is original to him) was one of my favorite science fiction authors

An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life.

just saw this, and had to use it.
I never learned from a man who agreed with me.

the whole - gunshow loophole is inaccurate /targeted statement.. If some gangbanger in the inner city wants a gun.. he is most likely NOT going to pony up and go to a gunshow.. The type of people that get guns and commit crimes get them from "a source" or thru a "hookup"... not through legit ways.. Do folks in DC REALLY think that closing the "gun show loophole" is going to stop criminals from getting handguns? Criminals STEAL things, why would politicians assume that they are going to get their firearms in a LEGAL way.. They steal cars, money, valuables.. Who thinks that they would go park outside a gunshow and say "hey buddy, how much do you want for that handgun.. can I pay you retail value?"

By virtue of a number of posts, I should actually know something?
