If an AK can be called beautiful
It can't. Not even if Function = Beauty.
(It works, but doesn't excell at anything.)
that is one of the nicest AK rifles I've seen.
True enough. That is some handsome wood. Kinda like putting rims on a Yugo, though.

That's hilarious!
I bought my first AK during Katrina, because the gun and ammo were both cheap. I built the other two right afterward, because I had plenty of cheap ammo for them, and $200 ain't bad for something that's decent for defending your home from roaming gangs (they evacuated quite a few of the N.O. criminals to my city).
My SKS is a better rifle than any of them, and still isn't the cream of the crop.
The advantage is that all of these weapons share the same ammo, and my family and friends are easily armed if necessary.
The post-katrina events showed us all that we could need more than handguns on a moment's notice.

Cool......I have a RRA 20" that I credit Katrina for. It is a lovely rifle! I wish I would have bought one a long time ago.

Yes, sir. It's a Marlin 336 made in 1975. The scope is a Burris 3-9x40 that I got in a trade with a friend.
