I would have to say..."Job Well Done" just about covers it. The only thing that would be more just would be to force thhe criminals families to pay for the labor and materials to reinstall said property.

Ya know.... this thread got me to thinking. Out at the deer lease we have been known to set up feeders to lure the deer in. We generally don't blast the deer in the feeders because they will eventually figure out that the feeder is not a place to eat. Now getting back on topic, maybe we should do something similar with criminals. Like for instance... leave a wallet on the dash board of the car and then sit back and wait in the dark for some scum bag to break the window to steal the wallet. Boom... we blast that sucka! Now if enough of us do this in various forms.... maybe leave the garage open and get em as they leave with the snap on tool box. We could come up with many creative methods of thinning the herd. Eventually, the bad guys will begin to worry that they are being lured in like a deer to the feeder. Of coarse I say this tongue in cheek. I wouldn't really do this, but it is just infuriating at times how brazen these crooks are becoming.
I have a two hour video of a guy stealing a trailer and a 6500 dollar insulation machine. We have a video of the guy dropping a tire iron that he had his hands all over. We have video of every spot he touched with no gloves on the truck he destroyed to move it out of the way of the trailer. My cost... after insurance... about 3 grand. Yep....Ihave had just about enough! The cops are worthless, by the way. It is up to the citizens to stop this rampant crime. Even with all the evidence the Plano police completely bungled the whole case. The attitude from them seems to be, "let insurance handle it". Maybe they would be willing to cover what my insurance didn't.
I used to be the guy posting on here that I wouldn't blast a guy for property. I am changing my mind quickly as the situations just keep getting more and more ridiculous. By the way... two weeks ago, five ac units were stolen from the building we are in. Maybe it was the same guys. We are in Plano. Oh yeah... the guy spent two hours stealing my trailer and machine. He didn't seem to have a worry in the world. These guys are confident they are not going to get caught and even when they do, they get set free so the jail can house some dude for smoking pot. Pure crappola in my humble opinion. We need to put the fear of god in these crooks. They sure aren't worried about the cops.

I agree with you LR on your points.
The Plano police sure can write revenue generating tickets, but not chase a non-revenue generating criminal case.
It's not just Plano. But don't cut the public safety budget because the public will suffer.
Now, just so I stay on thread, I pray that the guy in Denton Co. is no-billed.

That may be the best solution. The front page of the Houston Chronicle today has an article that says there's an arrest in only 7% of residential break ins. Logic says not every arrest results in a conviction and also not every arrest results in the property recovered.

If I read the article on line from the Denton Record this morning, the bad guys have been indicted, one is still in the hospital, and the grand jury did not indict the shooter, who had the support of a Texas Ranger that worked on the investigation.
