Well I guess my post here from last night was a bunch of bull. Just made my morning check and background cleared. So everything is good and green. But it still says manufacture pending. oh well, at least i know there's no surprises for me and that it shouldn't be toooo long now. Come on wally walk!

3-19 Class (missed 2 on the written test??? ) but on the important part 250/250

Welcome aboard. Expect to see the same message for around 3 weeks. In the meantime, reread the laws and browse this site for the endless questions you may have. I can't tell you how much i've learned and then verified from posts on here.

My latest updates:
4/4/11 - manufacturing pending
4/5/11 - manufacturing

Next is "mailed". Hopefully it mails in the next day or two. Sure would be sweet to have it by Saturday.

There are affidavits associated with the licensing process. You either fill them out online or in your class. My instructor had us all fill them out and he notarized them (I think there are 3, and we had over 30 people... that's 100 unnecessary notarizations). Later I found out that the online ones are the same, so I essentially had doubled up.

If you did your application online, you should be fine.

Mine did the same this morning. They've had the packet since 3/2/11. Fingerprints were rolled/cards. Applied on-line about 2/24/11

Online application filed 3/18
L1prints 3/29
Class and testing 3/31
Materials sent Priority Mail 4/1

Status shows waiting for materials. The wheels grinds slowly.

Status finally shows materials received over a month after they received them. 5/4
Waiting on background ckeck.

Plastic arrives 5/28. What's that, like 9+ weeks? Good grief.

Thanks. My whole class had done them online. Just got a little shook up thinking it would take them at least four weeks to let me know I had more work to do.

3.22 – DPS online form filled out – asking if packet has been received.
3.23 – DPS employee calls, packet received, prints complete, BG under review.
3.31 - Online Status finally updated, fingerprints complete, background check under review.
4.04 - background check complete, CHL: manufacturing pending.
4.05 – CHL: manufacturing.
4.07 – CHL: mailed

Congratulations! I sent my checklist packet before you (March 1), but I'm still on background check under review. I'm heading out of town next week, so I can wait.

ugh, mine is still showing BG under review... and I mailed mine a few days before you guys! I don't think there's anything on my BG to cause me any problems... I mean, I have lived in the same county since 2003 and I haven't had so much as a traffic ticket in 10 years. Hopefully it'll update by Monday so I don't pull the rest of my hair out :)
