Got my plastic in the mail today. Total time is exactly 30 days from mailbox to mailbox. Not bad at all!

Finally showed up today on DPS web site with first status update!!

1/1/1996 to 4/15/2011...Procrastinated taking the CHL class
4/15/2001..................Registered for the CHL class
4/16/2011..................Attended CHL class in San Antonio
4/17/2011..................Passed shooting qualification.
4/18/2011..................Submitted online CHL application with Texas DPS. Made fingerprint appointment
4/19/2011..................Electronic fingerprints taken. Mailed paper documents with Delivery Confirmationto to DPS
4/20/2011..................USPS confirms delivery of documents to Texas DPS
4/27/2011..................Fingerprints rejected by FBI due to unreadable. Rescheduled fingerprinting with L1.
4/28/2011..................Second set of electronic fingerprints taken by L1 and submitted to DPS.
5/13/2011.................First status update on DPS web site.

  Fingerprints : Complete
  Affidavits : Received
  DL or ID : Valid
  Citizenship : Received
  Passport photo holder : Received

My wife did her application on 4/21 and mailed the paperwork in on 4/28. There still hasn't been any status. She called today and they said they had no record of receiving her paperwork (ARGH). They told her to give it a full 4-5 weeks before doing anything???

I didnt have any changes until today- none. So i waited from 4/18 or so until 5/13 before the website changed. If its anything like mine though, once it changes its super quick. As of today im justwaiting on print and mail.

Mine turned the same as yours on 5/10. I was hoping for an update by Friday but did not get it. Hopefully next week will go to mail.

Ugh. That seems messed up. When I got mine this past February, I sent it in and a week later, the web site acknowledged receipt. It still took 2+ weeks to do the background check, etc, but it at least told us that they received the stuff.

Finely have status, just waiting on back ground to clear. Hopefully this will go quick, there is nothing there to review.
