*****An observation for all that are still watching for updates after mailing docs or while background check is under review: based on my experience it looks like they update those first two categories in batch mode once weekly on the weekend. And then once background check is finished they update nightly real time and things progress prett quickly from there. *****

However, I have to do the 2013 Wally Walk: One gun, no ammo. I visited EIGHT stores yesterday and not a single one had 40 s&w. I shot my rounds at the range (and ordered more online 2 weeks ago) and am currently up a creek without a paddle. Hoping I can find a friend who will sell me some.

I go to a local Academy everyday before work to check if they have any 9mm for me. They usually get a truck in Fridays, but stock is gone by noon. = (

My father came through for me. He found some winchester 40 s&w, unboxed, at Academy in Grapevine. He even talked them down to $20 for the box of 50 because "[he] couldn't return them because they didn't have a box". They appear to be FMJ WWB, so $20 sounds about right.

I'm loaded up and ready to go!
