Awesome for you! This is what is so confusing...
I emailed on 2/3 and online still says waiting on paperwork! I spoke with DPS today and she confirmed they received and then printed all my paperwork on 2/13 but they are currently entering paperwork from 2/12 today so mine should update any day now. Not sure how it works but maybe my paperwork got assigned to a worker that is just slower than others???

1/15 online application and paid $142

2/9 CHL class
2/11 Mailed packet
3/10 State finally showed received packet and performing background check
I'm just glad that the state FINALLY acknowledged that they received the packet. I was getting worried, My buddy is on the exact timeline as me and he received confirmation 5 days before me.
I highly recommend sending the packet "CERTIFIED and Delivery Confirmation" I didn't and I was assuming the worst. I was thinking that the USPS already lost my packet and all my info was out there for grabs..

For some odd reason whenever I do any type of background check with the FBI or anything like that it comes back super quick. Maybe because of my military history and or my types of previous of security clearances? Even when I purchased firearms before it would come back approved very quick.

Congrats! Your background check went pretty quick -- If you don't mind me asking, do you have military experience or clearance? How many addresses have you lived at in the past 5 years?
I check the website twice a day knowing that most people have background checks take 25-30 calendar days, but hoping I wind up like you or demon who had his done in 3 days. So far 8 days in background for me...

No military experience, I had an extremely low level security clearance 5 years ago.
I believe I put ~12 addresses in the last 5 years, I was moving back and forth for university each year.

Thanks for the info! We'll see what happens I guess. I just picked up a new XD-s this morning and I'm waiting on my holster to get built. I guess it's a wait no matter which way I look at it
