Sent mine electronically on 3/25. Guess I should be getting that email in a week or so. I did call and confirmed that they did receive the docs in the attachment so not really worried about it (mine is a renewal).

I just have to ask...are you sure you're logging in right to TXDPS website? DL correct? SSN correct? Birthday correct? Did you submit them right on your application? It just seems strange that you would not be in the system yet.

I'd call to make sure all was right on your app.

Naw I've gone full retard and forgotten everything. I did the mail in app, I have called and since Im not in the system they can only tell me to wait longer. Just checked and still not in the system, 48 days and counting.

My packet was received by DPS on March 7th. Today (5/17) my status changed to background under review. Everything else was checked.

We'll see how long this piece takes!

Finally,,, Background check started this morning. Should be all downhill from here.

Yeah I just got off the phone with DPS, and was told that I was calling way too early because they were just starting to process packets received around March 1.

My application & payment was processed in January, packet received via certified mail 3/14 and I have not had my status update yet. I know they are swamped and backlogged but he wouldn't even let me finish my thoughts, just kept interrupting with "it's way too early" "you're way too early" even though it has been 5 weeks since they received my packet in the mail.

Looks like I have another 2 weeks or more before I even start to see life in my status.

I called DPS yesterday and was told by CHL folks that there still inputting Feb, and won't get to March Batch until two weeks from now

Yeah well there ARE people who submitted 1st week of march who are being processed including a friend of mine and a few other folks here. I reckon there's probably still some feb apps mixed with march apps but they HAVE processed some march apps.

Count me in the group. Mailed everything March 25th and my plastic can't get here fast enough.
