One in the pipe here also since day one. Full size Glock 21 .45ACP as carry weapon. I'm not going to "scold" anyone for their personal decisions. To each his own. I have no reason to fib either.

Just imagine drawing and racking the slide while someone is on top of you and beating you "MMA style".

I always carry my Kahr with one in the chamber. For the first couple of weeks of carry I didn't. I just wasn't comfortable enough with the leather holster I had for it. I bought a King Tuk (man I love that holster) and was confident enough in the kydex that it wouldn't unintentionally engage the trigger.

I don't have one in the chamber of my pocket pistol.
I haven't found a pocket holster I like yet.

Absolutely. I've had a gun in my face twice before CHL. So does my wife and daughter. Why make a paper weight of your CCW? I am still trying to convince my oldest daughter's father in law that his weapon is useless even if the attacker only has a knife. He'll never get a round chambered in time.

I always carry with a round chambered. I typically buy at least one new handgun a year, but for my go to carry guns, I seem to always pick one of two. Either an FN 5.7 or a Kimber .45. With both I keep a round in the chamber and have never felt any concern doing so. I have a few friends who carry with an empty chamber and rack the slide after drawing. While I prefer cocked and locked, I feel like either way is okay as long the operator is comfortable with his system.

Any work fine for pocket carry but Remoras are best.

I'm small framed guy, so I often like to carry my XDS .45 or, when dress forces it, Kahr P380. Even my carry 9mms are pocket guns or barely larger. In addition to the time necessary to rack the gun, I value that extra round in a smaller magazine, as others have mentioned.

I carry with one in the pipe with every gun I carry. It took me some time to trust it appendix carry but that was simply due to where it was pointing

None in the pipe but DA so all chambers full.

I fail to understand how having one in the chamber makes the slightest difference when loading the magazine. I have never came across a weapon where the available space in the mag well was any different with the slide closed on an empty chamber vs a loaded chamber??

The concern is about reloading on a closed slide which would usually mean there is a round in the pipe.

My reasons for carrying with one in the pipe are reaction time, the chance I will be physically incapable of racking a round when needing to employ my gun and increased capacity, especially with my single stack guns.

I carry a Beretta 9 with one in the pipe all the time, didnt know there was another way to do it.

One down the pipe and full mags on both the Kimber and Sig P226 MK25. Have never had any problems with the full mags on either one.
