Two different female victims is critically alarming.
The added extra behavior is pretty damning in my mind.
I'm not sure what you're looking for in aggressive criminals but roughing up women is high on my list. I know it can be interesting that two LEOs are thinking he's a thug. I was going to post that he is a different word ut the forum edits it to "thug." We're not always right. Just see typical behavior a lot. (Or did see...)
The stress argument doesn't hold water to me in his case. He hasn't been in combat getting blown up. I've served and entered a few high stress situations as an LEO side by side with guys that were blown up in the sandbox and mountains. PTSD is real but I don't think he gets a pass. I may be jaded though so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I fully understand your position, and I don't disagree that from your perspective it looks bad. And yes, females often excuse their abusers after they've had time to think about it. However, there is no evidence that I'm aware of that he's ever laid a hand on any of the women, and there is evidence that they were not telling the truth about what happened.
I'm a vet, so far be it from me to minimize the stress of combat, but in my mind the stress he was under rises to an entirely different level. He had the full power and wealth of the state come down on him for a crime he clearly did not commit, and even after the evidence was in and the verdict was obvious, the state refused to back down. Add to that the fact that he had constant threats on his life and never knew when he went outside where he was living if it would be his last day and the fact that a huge number of people were calling him murderer and wanting him dead, and I'm not sure that even combat rises to that level. Combat has been said to be hours and hours of boredom punctuated by moments of sheer terror. Even in a combat zone there are places where you feel relatively safe. There was no place where he could feel safe, and that pressure was on him 24/7.
I'm not trying to make excuses for him. He has clearly been using very bad judgment recently. I just think there's an obvious reason for it other than the "fact" that he's a thug.

Like everyone here, compared to Zim I must have an armory at my house. The # rounds he had = about a morning at the range for me.
As for his wife and GF. I smell a couple of women looking to bait him into making a wrong move so they can sell a story to one of the scandal sheet "news" medial outlets. I see where in each case these two called the cops there has been no prosecution due to lack of evidence. It probably came down to the fact that when the women had to make a sworn statement they either had to lie or risk prosecution for perjury so they backed down. The reason Zim has not been prosecuted for anything is because he is not guilty of anything!. As a result, the media people are now reduced to reporting on the only "scandal" they have...reporting on his traffic tickets!

Amazing! This shows how low we have sunk. I don't believe that this is really happening.

If I was him I'd be a painting fool. Strike while the canvas is hot (or something like that).

He is a painting fool. I don't like the fact that he is is using his "celebrity" for shooting a person to make a profit. I am glad that I am not him.

I don't think I have much to worry about in that regard. I don't follow hoodies behind houses and I can't paint a lick.

Since the price of this painting will go up after GZ dies. You don't have to wonder what the buyer is thinking..Like maybe someone will come along and make his purchase worth it.

On top of all this, he just sold a painting at auction for $100,000.00 to anonymous buyer. At least he can now pay his on legal fees and not pawn it off on the county.

What! The county never should have prosecuted in the first place. He has every right under FL law to pawn it off on the county.

Defending himself left him 2.5 million dollars in debt due to legal fees and you think he's banking because because of his celebrity?

George Zimmerman's attorney said Tuesday that he is going to ask the state of Florida to pay for some of his client's non-lawyer legal bills, including for experts, printing and court reporters, and that the price tag could reach $300,000.
Though he and his fellow defense lawyers took the case pro bono, he said after all the money issues are settled, he'd like to be paid something. State statute on acquittal fees prohibits Florida from paying for privately secured counsel. So any pay for the lawyers' services would likely come from money they are seeking to recoup from prosecutors.
